What to prepare for in the event of a traumatic brain injury or the “brain” emergency. How and what to monitor for in a patient with potential increased intracranial pressure. Extending the monitoring and nursing considerations past the initial emergency and onto the initial recovery period, still taking into account observations and considering what is “normal” for that patient and condition. The treatment of non-traumatic cases, that may still present as an emergency and need intensive monitoring. Treatment of inflammatory brain conditions.
